My mother helped create a home where my father could entertain every football weekend, every basketball weekend (back then it was mostly on weekends) and any other “weekend” that needed it. She was a master at executing last minute gatherings with barely a ruffled feather. Her cookbooks were scribbled with notes in margins and stains on the page. Her cupboards were filled with such seemingly exotic ingredients as anchovies, salmon roe and snails. Granted, they were canned, but as far as I could tell, they were far more sophisticated than the average cupboard fare. It only seemed natural for her children to grow up with some sense of what it means to be a good host or hostess. I’ve applied those life lessons, the home that hosted all those memorable parties, and my classical culinary training towards entertaining clients who are passionate about their parties, their food and their design. For 20 years now I’ve been cooking, creating, and executing with many of the same staff and servers. We’ve developed a unique energy and chemistry that combine to present a level of service that is both personal and professional.
